Discovering Uzbekistan's Ancient Fortress

The Ark of Bukhara is a famous old fortress in the city of Bukhara, Uzbekistan. This huge, ancient building has a lot of history and has seen many important events. Let me share my experience and what I learned when I visited this incredible place with my university friends.


The Ark of Bukhara was built in the 5th century AD. It served as a royal palace where the rulers of Bukhara lived. It also acted as a military fortress, protecting the city from enemies. The high walls and strong gates made it a safe place for the emirs (rulers) of Bukhara.


The Ark is known for its impressive architecture. It has tall walls that stretch over a long distance. The main entrance, called the Bukhara Gate, is beautifully decorated with tiles and patterns. Inside the fortress, there are many rooms, courtyards, and buildings, including the Emir’s Mosque and the Throne Room.


When I visited the Ark with my university friends, we were amazed by the grand entrance and the detailed tile work. We spent hours exploring the different parts of the fortress, imagining what life must have been like for the people who lived there.Mohichehra Temirovna, our teacher, also guided us.

We saw ancient artifacts and learned about the daily lives of the people who once lived there. It was an unforgettable experience, and we took many photos to remember our trip.

Today, the Ark of Bukhara is a popular tourist attraction. People from all over the world come to see this ancient fortress. Visitors can walk through the old rooms and courtyards, imagining what life was like in the past. There are also exhibitions and museums inside the Ark that show artifacts and artworks from different periods.


The Ark of Bukhara is a symbol of the rich history and culture of Uzbekistan. Visiting the Ark is like traveling back in time. 


It’s a place where you can learn about the past and see the beauty of ancient architecture. If you ever get the chance to visit Bukhara, the Ark is a must-see!❤️


Traveling to the Ark with my university friends was an amazing adventure. We learned so much and had a great time exploring this historic site together. This trip was as wonderful as I thought. Also, thanks to our teacher Mohichehra Temirovna, who was with us during the trip...🥰

Blacksmith Museum of Bukhara

  A Journey Through Craftsmanship During my recent visit to the city of Bukhara, I had the unique opportunity to explore one of its hidden gems: the Blacksmith Museum. This visit was particularly special because I was accompanied by my university friends, our teacher, and a guest tourist who added to the enriching experience. The Blacksmith Museum is in the middle of Bukhara, a city full of history and culture. When we arrived, the sounds of metal being hammered and the sight of beautiful metalwork took us back in time. The museum shows many tools, weapons, and household items made by skilled blacksmiths over the years. Walking through the museum with my university friends was wonderful. We admired the displays and talked about the techniques and artistry of blacksmithing.
